Services of biodiversity ….. • Trees Give us 70% Oxygen ! • 70% of our oxygen is from the amazon rainforest! • Plants and flowers produce food and medicine. • 36% of all drinking water comes from all rainforests around the world ! • We need wood to live – Think about it imagine if you took all the wood out of your house ………..

4. Blanket Bog Blanket bogs are wild areas that cover the lowlands and uplands of the west of Ireland. They are formed of peat soils which are the partially decomposed remains of plants which have built up slowly over thousands of years, in areas where the climate is cool and wet. In the past blanket bogs have been used for peat production

5. Fox facts • Scientifically foxes are known as Vulpes ! • This animal is found in almost every kind of habitat! • Foxes are solitary animals that do not really prefer to live in packs. • The fennec fox is the smallest fox in the world .

Why are animals losing their habitats ?? • Animals are losing their habitats because they are being cut down. • The Chinese are cutting down forests for more space! • The farmers are cutting down hedges to expaned their fields for crops! • Their habitats are used for supplies around the world !

Can you save Biodiversity ? • Plant sustainable forests. • Plant more flowers and vegetation. • Preserve our bogs. • Don’t use pesticides. • Keep our rivers and lakes clean. • Preserve our hedgegrows. • Reduce our carbon footprint. • Reduce our electricity usage. • Save trees and recycle paper , cardboard and plastics .
