FY 2011 Medicaid Budget Actions • Budget of $6.2B approved including: • Additional $389 M in enhanced federal funding for last half of the year • $20M budget reduction due to enactment of Maryland False Claims Act • Nursing Home assessment increased to 4% • Assessments will fund reimbursements to NF and support a 2% increase • A portion will be used for an incentive program

  3. Budget Narrative Reports Required • Report detailing estimated savings and program impact of limiting services, implementing copays and premiums. Report due November 15, 2010. • Independent report detailing how DHMH and DHR can maximize savings from minimizing claims processing and eligibility payment errors. Report due December 1, 2010. • DHMH and DoIT submission of a report detailing the level of involvement in the MMIS replacement project. Report due July 1, 2010.
