  4. `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves  Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:All mimsy were the borogoves,  And the mome raths outgrabe. "Beware the Jabberwock, my son!  The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun  The frumious Bandersnatch!" He took his vorpal sword in hand:  Long time the manxome foe he sought --So rested he by the Tumtum tree,  And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood,  The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,  And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through  The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!He left it dead, and with its head  He went galumphing back. "And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?  Come to my arms, my beamish boy!O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'  He chortled in his joy. `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves  Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves,  And the mome raths outgrabe. Black = Dangerous Location Green = Safe Location Description of Safe and Dangerous Spots on the Map I used text from the “Jabberwocky” poem instead of writing actual descriptions. This way I can show you what it looks like without giving anything away. Each description must be four sentences. See the instructions for details.

  5. Individual vs. Group • Every student will turn in his/her own project – in that way it is individual. • I have given you time in class to work together and share ideas so that you will not have to spend as much time at home – in that way it is a group project. • The Dwarf names must all be the same for your group. • The written descriptions of your adventures must all be done by the individual student. • All other aspects of the project can be group or individual depending on your own desire and the amount of work completed in class.
