My Role: • External working with senior NHS and social care organisation leaders /groups: • Involvement in local strategic partnerships (PC HWB/Healthwatch Portsmouth/Wessex AHSN) • Established links with local health and social care organisations. • Internally keep track of relevant health related activity (via the Health Development Forum) • Identify / connect to collaborative opportunities • Seek to influence regional healthcare partnerships • Point of contact with the local NHS on health related programmes/issues

Promoting our areas of strength: • As well as health care computing we have a broad range/niche provision including (capabilities statement): • Basic science and healthcare science related education: • Community delivery • Public engagement • Team training • Simulation/healthcare modelling • Leadership and management • Cross disciplinary activities ..Ageing and Environment

Current Opportunities: • Change to health and social care organisations and responsibilities : undergraduate and post graduate education Health Education Wessex/Provider Trusts ( opportunities..CPD) • Innovation, health and wealth: Academic Health Science Networks (Wessex)… influential bodies for co ordination of NHS research and innovation activities (e.g. SBRI process/RIF/CLARCH) • Partneringwith local health and social care organisations collectively and bilaterally…PHT/Solent/Isle of Wight /Southern Healthcare/Portsmouth City Council/Portsmouth CCG • HealthwatchPortsmouth …(consumer champion for health and social care ) • Links to KHP /KCL Dental Institute
