One Public Estate Open Day Welcome Craig Egglestone - One Public Estate Programme Manager, LGA

Discover the One Public Estate (OPE) program led by Craig Egglestone and Kirsty Rouillard, uniting public sector partners for efficient land use and development projects. From its inception in 2013 with 12 pilot areas to expanding to 318 councils in 76 partnerships by 2018, the OPE model emphasizes collaboration, policy development, and centralized support for local delivery initiatives. By leveraging partnerships with central government departments, MHCLG, and Homes England, OPE has facilitated over 500 projects, generating significant benefits such as capital receipts, cost savings, job creation, and land release for housing. The program provides access to expert support, funding, and guidance to optimize outcomes and streamline project delivery. Explore the OPE program's commitment to sustainable grant funding, housing delivery, innovation, and the government's pledge to build 1 million new homes by 2020. Find out how OPE supports strategic projects, mitigates risks, and fosters strong governance structures for successful public sector collaborations.
