DUNS AND CCR TIPS FOR APPLICANTSAdrianne Fielding - adrianne.fielding@gmail.com As discussed during the roundtable sessions at the National Grants Management Association’s annual convention (April 2010), your organization’s DUNS and CCR use should be: Coordinated Manage your organization’s DUNS and CCR registrations Assign primary and backup individuals affiliated with your organization’s business office, chief financial officer, grant administrator, or authorizing official to own and maintain “master list” Communicated Establish process for sharing current DUNS and CCR registration info within your organization Adopt centralized responsibility for communicating current info on regular basis Make sure staff knows the correct information to use when applying for funding, e.g., the DUNS number associated with your organization’s CCR registration Include organizational policies and procedures around DUNS and CCR use in administrative policy manual Checked Establish policy requiring individuals to double-check your organization’s master list, DUNS, and/or CCR for correct info before application submission DUNS: https://eupdate.dnb.com/requestoptions.asp?cm_re=HomepageB*TopNav*DUNSNumberTab CCR: https://www.bpn.gov/CCRSearch/Search.aspx Consistent Use consistent naming and address conventions when registering with DUNS and CCR and applying for funding Current Keep your registrations up to date Update organizational info or points of contact changes in DUNS database, CCR registration, and master list ASAP Communicate any changes out to staff
