The plot of the play concerns the latter period of the life of Galileo Galilei, the great Italian Renaissance natural philosopher, who was persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church for the promulgation of his scientific discoveries. The play embraces such themes as the conflict between dogmatism and scientific evidence, as well as interrogating the values of constancy in the face of oppression.

  6. Galileo has a new theory that the earth revolves around the sun. New pupil tell him about new invention that is telescope. Galileo believes that the evidence of the telescope is enough to reveal the truth. The Grand Duke and some professors deny his proposal saying that the telescope must have some defect.

  7. The cardinal accuses him of being a faithless man. Eight years Galileo does not write anything. His theory becomes very popular on 1633. An ironfounder meets him and holds him responsible for the anti-bible pamphets the public is raising.

  9. At the end: After some years, one day a goose is dilevered unexpectedly at Galileo's house. Andrea, who has had left Galileo after the recantation, arrives to see him. Galileo gives a secret transcript to Andrea telling him to say that it belongs to the Holy Office. so, in the last scene, Andrea is seen infront of the the Italian Frontier Cutoms office with the luggage. On asking about the manuscript, he replies that it is Aristotle's work. the guards let him pass
