  1. Tactics 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

  2. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 • 3For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

  3. Killing the Flesh • Jesus talks about taking up our cross daily. This refers to surrendering and sacrificing our sinful desires to Him. • When temptation comes our way, God always provides a way out. But we must seek that way out. • Through obedience to Jesus, we are always aiming to live a holy life so that we are not in danger as we battle the flesh and its sinful passions.

  4. Influencing the World • One person can do a lot to influence the world, the culture and society we live in. The world can mean the people living on earth or it can mean the sinful world system caused by the Fall. • We must actively be salt and light in our world, seeking to bring a different perspective (shed new light on a situation) and provide godly wisdom (flavorful advice). • We must discern how interactive we should become in our world, whether we are isolating ourselves, making our own separate culture, or influencing the current ungodly culture.

  5. Resisting the Devil • We are first to submit to God, to give ourselves wholly over to Him. • After we are fully surrendered to God and submitted to Him in obedience, we are prepared to resist the devil. • We rely not on our strength but on God’s power to resist the devil. • We stand up against all of his schemes, all of his plans, all of his lies, and shed light on his deceptions.

  6. Standing Firm • Put on the full armor of God. • Know the Word of God. • Know what God has promised us so that you are not deceived by the devil. • Walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Speak against evil and practice Godliness. • Be fully connected to Jesus and tell demons to go when you encounter them. Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world.
