  3. History of SMC98 1993-2011 (During the period ofAdvance Level)

  4. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 We have started to gather as a bunch during 1993’s, it was a time, where we were not sure about the date and time, in-fact NO PLANS, but thought of flying….

  5. Since 1998 to 2002, This was the time our gatherings started to bring meaningful thoughts within, because we were out of college, and every one has started to travel in their own chosen path, and decided to have the gathering on the same day of each Year. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  6. During 2003, our gathering got to interesting stages, and decided to have our get-together on every 26th December, and even planed to have a cricket match between our friends. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  7. 2004 is something which we hardly forgets. We started our regular cricket match ….but…….. Could not able to conclude match, Everyone knows Y, ? 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  8. During 2005, we have offered a holy mass at Home for the Elders, as a thanks giving and to receive blessings… 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  9. In 2006, for the first time we had a large number of our friends(24) who joined for the annual Get-together. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  10. In 2007, again came with some very sad moments, as some of /(most of) our friends started leaving the country in search of better future and commitments, and number of friends took part at the get-together began to drop. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  11. During 2008, It was unforgettable, as we realized that it was our 10th year anniversary, and for the First time, we’ve decided to have a family get-together on top of all the other routine plan. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  12. Also in 2008 We provide some materials fo Home for the Elders and Leprosy Hospital 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  14. In 2009, We incorporated our identity, by printing a T-shirt , and came up with a logo to represent our friends. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

During 2009 April 20th, we have created our SMC98 Facebook Group. and it was a major brake through on establishing communication network ,between our friends- and thanking Suresh Sattrukalsinghe, for the initiative. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  16. First the time, we have connected to the world through Skype, and communicated with all our friends around the globe. Thanks' to Technology 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  17. During 2010, we started our routine schedule of playing cricket, but this time it was “Swimming Cricket” , and It was a day to remember. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  18. In 2010 we had our T-shirts ready, and everyone asked to wear during the get-together, to make the event colorful as well as meaningful. 1993-1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011

  21. Change is good, we go first

Objectives Primary Objective: 1.To make a better bridge between Friends of SMC98 2.To provide support and assistance to school towards betterment. 3.Being a role-model to other batches to be in network 4.To conduct projects to uplift our school and enrich the Batticaloa district Secondary Objectives: 1.Building Better relationship with other SMC bodies such as OBA 2.Response on interest to request made and to support disasters. 3.To supporting friends in need on request.
