  2. How does an air conditioner work? The question ‘How does AC work’ comes, at least once in a while, to everyone’s mind who have Air Conditioner at home or work. The functionality of Air Conditioners is always fascinating. It brings a lot of question to one’s mind and the more you know, the lesser it seems. Well, don’t worry! This article is to help you understand the functioning of Air Conditioners in great detail. The AC unit mainly has three key components. It is the compressor, the condenser, and the evaporator. AC unit compressor and condenser are usually located in the exterior of the AC cooling system. Chigo.co.za

  3. The inner section is the house where you will find the evaporator. Your air conditioner uses a few chemicals (refrigerant) that convert from gas to liquid and the process reverses. It goes through a process where chemicals transfer the heat from the air inside your property to the outside air. The process of conversion of vapor to liquid (Heat transfer through the condenser) and from liquid to vapor (absorption of heat in the evaporator) is the main mechanism of air conditioner cooling. 4. What happens is that he the cooling fluid reaches through the compressor as a low-pressure gas and then the compressor absorbs this fluid. In the next step, the molecules in the liquid are packed closer tightly together, therefore, the closer the compressor forces these molecules, the higher the temperature rises and the output. 5. So how does your Air Conditioner Remove Hot Air and Blows Cold Air? With the help of the process that we discussed above the compressor releases hot gas with high-pressure and it flows through the condenser. The outer unit of your air conditioner has metal (various materials) fins all across the body. It acts like the radiator which helps dissipate heat rapidly. Now, after the process is over the fluid leaves the condenser and is much cooler than before. It changes its state from gas to liquid because of the high pressure. It then converts into vapor through a narrow opening through the passage which converts it into the cool air. Chigo.co.za

  6. When this happens the heat is absorbed from the surrounding which is then required to separate the molecules of the liquid to gas. This is achieved with the help of the fins of the evaporator and this process is also known as exchange of thermal energy with the surrounding air. The process continues the desired temperature is achieved. There are thermostat sensors that indicate when the temperature of the place is at the desired level. There are various types of Aircon Units, mid wall split Aircon, Window Aircons and many more are available in the market, these days as the technology evolves. You have highly efficient and energy saving Air Conditioners as well. Chigo.co.za

  7. So you now know the science behind the AC cooling.  Aircon Prices vary from product to product. If you go for the advanced technology the prices may be higher. It depends on the cooling capacity of the unit that you are buying. There is a wide range of aircon units available depending on the output needs of the consumer. For example – if you want an air unit with the highest energy saving and higher cooling the capacity then the prices would be comparatively higher than that of moderate capacity. Based on the energy consumption a rating is given on a scale of five to the zircon units in many countries. The higher the rating, the better the aircon unit, its energy consumption and cooling output. Source:- https://bit.ly/2FW68HZ Chigo.co.za
