Role of Invigilators in each centre Chief Invigilator – • In-charge of transportation of all the competition material & stationeries • Ensure that attendance is properly marked • Ensure that invigilators comply to the starting and ending times • Ensure that invigilation is properly carried out • Ensure that all the scripts are collected back • Consult your teacher IC in case of doubt
Role of Invigilators in each centre Student Invigilator – • In-charge of transportation of refreshment for invigilators and participants • Ensure that invigilation is carried out properly • Ensure that every script is accounted for at the end of the competition before dismissing the participants
Chartered Bus Routes *Remember to jot down mobile no. of Driver, Teacher ICs and CIs to coordinate timing for returning trip
Instructions for candidates Appendix A
Notes to take during competition Write the starting time & ending time on the white board. Verify the identity of participants by checking against their photo on their students card and the name on the sticker pasted on their desk. Do not disturb the participants and observe personal space.
Notes to take during competition No mathematical instrument set or calculator is allowed. Chief Invigilators, in consultation with the teacher IC, to work out a schedule so that all invigilators take turn to have a break and refreshment.
Notes to take during competition • While invigilating, you should not • talk to each other • play with hand phone • read • sleep • eat • sit on the teacher’s table • Please Be ALERT at all times
If you suspect any participant cheating • Do not alert the participants. • Take down the participant’s name, group number & the question he/she is working on. • Report to the teacher in-charge asap. • The teacher in-charge will take over the investigation.
Very Important! Do not allowed any outsider, including teachers from the school that you are at to borrow any copy of the question booklet. You can politely tell the teacher to speak to the teacher-in-charge from our school. You must make sure that all the scripts, whether used or not used, must be brought back to school. We MUST make sure that the OMR sheet of every participants are brought back for marking.
Decorum • Be in full school uniform • Be neat and tidy in appearance • Exhibit your best conduct • Put on your smile • Take your role seriously • Be alert
Others A hard copy of the detail list of checklists will be given to Chief Invigilator on 6 April You are to inform your Chief Invigilator before 7.30 am on 6 April if you are on MC that day Invigilators who have perform their role satisfactorily will be awarded with 5 hours of CIP Chief Invigilators will be awarded 6 hours of CIP
