  7. Equipment/Materials • Computer with Microsoft Office and Windows Movie Maker • Files on shared drive • Digital camcorder • Compatible firewire cable • Microphones and headphones • DVD/CD burner • Recordable DVDs/CDs • Flash drives/space for movies

The Unit • Gather information and create Power Point • Power Point self-evaluation • Power Point teacher evaluation • Plan and create Public Service Announcement • Create film clip to include in Public Service Announcement • Burn PSA • PSA self-evaluation • PSA peer evaluation • PSA teacher evaluation

Enduring Understandings • Less is more when properly presented • Media is powerful • Quality work takes time • Creativity knows no boundaries • One should take pride in a quality product • There is a difference between presenting to inform and presenting to entertain • The message is the most important element of a media product • Accurate evaluation of media products requires critical thinking skills
