  1. Short Stories and Your Capstone

Requirements • You must find 2 short stories that relate to your capstone topic • At least 1 of the stories must be from a credible, published author (do your research) • Complete the Writer’s Craft Worksheet for each story • Include a copy of each story along with the Writer’s Craft worksheets in your PORTFOLIO • Post about at least one of your stories on your BLOG

  3. Example • For my capstone, my topic is censorship • I found the story “The Censors” by Luisa Valenzuela • Let’s read it together and fill out the Writer’s Craft Form

  4. On your own • Read “Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros • Complete the Writer’s Craft Worksheet • Worksheet is due Wednesday

  5. In the lab/library • Use some of your time this week to find your two stories (don’t forget about the actual BOOKS you have access to) • Other reminders: • Keep reading your novel and taking notes • Finish your poem analysis x3 • 3 blog posts this week!
