A Little Bit About Me… • This is my 17thyear teaching and my 9thyear at Crooked Billet. • I’m married and have a sixyear old son named Aidan and five year old twins, Will and Cate. • I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, shopping, technology, playing word games, and traveling.

  3. Our Class Schedule • 8:40-9:00 Morning Business and Morning Work • 9:00-10:00 Math • 10:00-10:05 Snack Break • 10:05-11:05 Guided Reading/ Centers • 11:05-11:25 Shared Reading • 11:25-11:45 Working with Words

  4. Schedule Continued • 11:45-12:30 Recess and Lunch • 12:30-1:15 Science/Social Studies • 1:15-1:45 Writing • 1:45-2:15 Copy homework, AR, SSR • 2:15-3:00 Special • 3:00-3:15 Pack up, behavior charts, and stamps

  6. Grading Rubric • 4 =Above Grade Level • 3 =On Grade Level • 2 =Approaching Grade Level • 1 =Below Grade Level *All number/percentage grades are converted as follows: 100%-95%=4 94%-80%=3 79%-70%= 2 69% or lower=1

  7. 2nd Grade Behavior Policy On the first day of school, the students and I agreed to classroom rules. They include: • Raise your hand and wait to be called on. • Keep hands and feet to yourself. • Listen and follow directions. • Work quietly so as not to disturb others. • Be polite and respectful. • Do your best at all times.

Homework • Monday-Thursday • Reading Record: Mondays-Read AR book or any other book and complete one page of their choice in Reading Comprehension Book or complete Retelling Rubric • Math: Home Links/Monthly Calendars/Fact Triangles/First in Math • Spelling: Flash cards on Monday, Vocabulary on Tuesday, Spelling book page or practice sheet on Wednesday, test on Friday **Spellingcity.com • Thursday: Game Night • Friday: Weekly Reflection Book • Reminders • Please check and initial one box
