  1. Club Philosophy Winning Development Select players Measure success by league tables, trophies + tournaments Play strongest team for the majority/all of the games Release players All welcome Positive behaviour and code for all involved Measure success by enjoyment and community feel All get the chance to play equally

  2. 4 Point Team Playing Philosophy Winning Development Do what it takes to win Don’t take risks, get it forward early and get stuck into them. Most effective team starts every game. Subs get on if and when manager decides Try to develop but not at the cost of the result Positive Attitude, Respect and Sportsmanship for all Try to play attacking and creative football Equal playing time or everybody gets at least half the game Try to win but never at the cost of points 1,2 or 3

  3. What would you do? • You run an U12 team and have a player who is smaller than the others and tends to get knocked off the ball easily • You have a player in your group who is talented and can dominate games. • You run an U13s team and have 2 GK’s. 1 of your GK’s doesn’t come for crosses and this is leading to your team losing goals in matches. • How would you deal with set pieces - goal kicks, corners, throw ins, free kicks and penalties? • U14’s - Your last defender dribbles the ball out and tries a step over against the attacker who tackles him and scores. • Your last defender (and one of your better players) deliberately fouls an opponent centre forward who is clear on goal
