  3. Location Ram Tirth Temple is situated at a distance of 11 km towards the west of Chogawan Road in Amritsar City.

  4. Maharishi Valmiki The temple is known for the ashram of sage Maharishi Valmiki. The sage gave shelter to Goddess Sita at this ashram when she was abandoned by Lord Rama after the Lankan victory.

  5. Gold Plated Idol of Valmiki 8 feet tall gold plated idol of Lord Valmiki made from 800 kg Gold stands tall in the Ramtirth temple complex and is the main attraction for tourists visiting this place.

  6. Significance of temple About one lakh people visit Ram Tirath to take the blessings of Lord Valmiki Ji. Childless women visit this place to take a dip in the baoli (where Maa Seeta bathe) to seek Maa Seeta's blessings for a child.
