AEQUO International • Built out of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) International Evaluation Services (NIES), AEQUO International is dedicated to offering other professions and institutions the same high quality education evaluations, document verifications, and language translation services that NIES is able to offer the state boards of accountancy. • NIES and AEQUO combined currently process approximately 8,000 applications annually.

4. AEQUO International Leadership AEQUO is led by Wade Jewell, President, AEQUO and Director, NIES. Wade recently retired from Virginia State Government after a 30-year career. During his final nine years in Virginia, Wade served as the Executive Director of the Virginia Board of Accountancy. Wade joined NASBA on August 1, 2018, bringing a wealth of leadership and expertise with state regulatory processes and educational requirements. Kyle Barrier, Manager, NIES, manages the day-to-day operations of NIES and provides support to AEQUO as needed. Kyle has been with NASBA for over 10 years, serving in positions supporting domestic education and state board relations, International Qualification Exam, and with NIES for the past 7 years.

We employ a uniform credit conversion formula to translate international education to a precise U.S. Equivalent. Next, we verify the authenticity of all documentation we receive.

While the old standard of identifying fraudulent documents involved matching visual clues and smelling or feeling the paper, we recognize that documents can easily be fabricated to meet these characteristics with today’s advanced technology. Through our developed contacts and collaboration with the Data Flow Group, a leading global provider of Primary Source Verification (PSV), all documents that are not received directly from the school in an unopened school sealed envelope or from the department of education will be verified through PSV. We employ a uniform credit conversion formula to translate international education to a precise U.S. Equivalent. All documents received are verified for authenticity and Primary Source Verification is utilized with unofficial copies. Reports are delivered to you in an easy-to-read format through the mail. 8. AEQUO Language Translations • AEQUO International is proud to offer translations, both to and from English, for most languages. We will translate any type of document but common samples include: • Diplomas and transcripts • Birth, Marriage, Divorce or Death Certificates • Government issued identification • Medical reports • Legal contracts • Immunization cards • Translations fees vary by language and are assessed as a flat rate per page ($68 - $87). Copies of documents requiring translations may be mailed to our Nashville office or uploaded as legible scans. Client will be notified via email when documents are received and processed. Our translators are active members of the American Translators Association. The average turn around time for a translated document is 5-7 business days.
