  1. Electric Bike Safety Tips You Should Follow

  2. Electric bikes are a lot of fun to ride but they also require that you be attentive to safety

  3. Here are some e-bike safety tips you should know

  4. 1. Always protect your head •This tip is pretty simple but could save your life one day •helmet is an absolute necessity when it comes to riding your electric bike, this will be the only defense you have for your head

  5. 2. Check Your Speed •the biggest mistake new e-bike riders make is to go for the fastest assist setting right out of the gate •But take time to learn how the bike feels at lower speeds before cranking it to turbo

  6. 3. Stay visible •You must always be in site of a driver. Because if they can’t see you, you’re more likely to be involved in an accident •Lights, reflectors and a bell are essential and compulsory if you cycle at night

  7. 4. Use bike mirrors •The over-the-shoulder check can be too risky in certain road situations •Mirror helps you from straying off line and keeps your focus firmly in front of you and behind you without having to steer off balance.

  8. 5. Keep your tires properly inflated •This help you improve your ebike range, and give you better control. •Use full suspension electric bikes They have heavier treaded tires giving you better control and grip while riding off road

  9. 6. Stay alert to obstacles •Ensure that you’re aware of the potential obstacles that could catch you off-guard during your commute •keep an eye out for other vehicles, animals, pedestrians, large puddles, leaves, metal grids, holes, bumps, etc.
