  1. ABU ROBOCON 2008 Mit Robocon team

  2. Introduction • The contest theme is based on Indian mythology related to Lord Krishna and the festival of Dahi-Handi. • Born as a prince and brought up into a cowherd family, Krishna is often referred to as "Govinda". • As children, Govinda and his friends used to raid kitchens in search of milk, butter (Makhkhan) and cheese (Paneer). They also used to tease young girls (Gopis) carrying pots (Matka) filled with water, milk, butter, or cheese on their heads.

  3. Game and Rules • “The Objective” • Two (2) opposing teams (a Red team and a Blue team) will operate Manual machines and Autonomous machines. • Attempt to get at the pots of butter placed at a height and remove the large cube of Butter (Makhkhan) from the bowls. A few of the machines would also attempt to “Steal” the Earthen Pots. • (Matkas) containing balls of Cheese (Paneer) being carried by the Young Girls (Gopis).

  4. Definition of words • 1) Butter (Makhkhan) • 2) Earthen Pot (Matka) • 3) Cheese (Paneer)

  5. Definition of words • Basket (Tokri) • Girls (Gopies) Central Bowl

  6. Manual Machine

  14. History • The Mit Robocon team started its journey in Robocon 2005. In last four years the team has shown a great and constant progress. The major reason for this upcoming is that MIT believes in Sharing and exchange of knowledge. Each year the new ideas and technology was implemented with the solid foundations of last year’s experience.

  16. Strategy at Nationals • The MIT team was had a unique Manual Machine with four Jaws. This proved to be very strong and ruling point in our strategy. We had an autonomous machine set of three machine which used to do their job almost very consistently. MIT machine designs were only designs in NATIONAL event who could achieve Govinda. And so we did it. Not once but thrice.

  17. GOVONDA Only By MIT • With rigorous efforts and a good team work we made the finest machines at Robocon nationals. The Team MIT is the only Team in India who has ever completed a problem statement. That too MIT did it thrice and left the crowd speechless. Even the Referee was shocked and took few seconds to respond to GOVONDA.

  18. MIT Strategy At Internationals • The machines for international event are modified and are no more capable of completing Govinda. The speeds have drastically increased and the machines have got more intelligence. • The manual machine is now going to co ordinate with Auto machines to bring terror to opponents. • The strategy is a bit more negative as compared what we saw at nationals, but that’s required at internationals.

  19. Changed Machines

  20. OTHER COUNTRIES

  21. With the fast speed and good consistency We are able to complete the task in few seconds which is at par with international timings. With everybody’s blessings and support WE HOPE INDIA WILL SHINE THIS YEAR!! Thank you!!
