Responsibilities of DBE • According to the draft Integrated Programme of Action for Early Childhood Development (Draft Zero) the DBE has the following responsibilities: • Implementation of Education White Paper 5 • Grade R • Birth to four years • Development of curriculum • Grade R • Birth to four • Development of training and stimulation material • Training of ECD practitioners and payment of stipends (EPWP)
