Colegio Albania is in the process of introducing the IB with the objective of benefiting the students with academic excellence and integral education, where they can identify themselves, grow in character and find solutions to all kinds of problems. The IB is divided in 3 programs: PYP, MYP and diploma.

  4. WHAT IS MYP? • In the Middle Years Programme, students can learn and make a connection with subjects by different methods. • They can relate with the World and grow into a global citizen. • It will prepare students for future success and real-life situations. • It’s based in 5 areas of interaction and it helps us connect our classes to different aspects of the real world, making our learning a meaningful experience.

  5. LEARNER PROFILE • It is a list of characteristics we should be trying to develop through our school life. • The learner profile is formed by parents, administrators, teachers and students, meaning that all of us should work daily in the elements of the profile.

  16. OUR POINT OF VIEW ABOUT MYP • Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. - Gandhi • Daniela M.: It opens many opportunities and focuses in methods and values, which is something you can't learn in books. • Daniela A.: The MYP is helping us to improve our learning skills and to understand what an ideal student is. • Michelle: MYP is a great program that will benefit us during our school years and for the rest of our lives. • Laura: I think that MYP is very useful for times in our life where we will collide with the real world and real-life situations.

  17. CONCLUSION • The MYP programme is designed to help us develop into excellent young adults in many ways. It will bring out personal confidence and thinking skills that will make us leaders within the community and caring global citizens.
