  2. Right-Hand Rule • Grasp conductor with right hand, thumb pointing in the direction of conventional current flow • Fingers curl in the direction of magnetic field (lines of flux) ECE 201 Circuit Theory I

  3. Through a Coil of Wire • Grasp the coil with the right hand, fingers curled in the direction of current • Thumb points in the direction of the magnetic field ECE 201 Circuit Theory I

  4. For a Permanent Magnet • Magnetic field direction is OUT from the NORTH pole and IN to the SOUTH Pole ECE 201 Circuit Theory I
