What is C3E? • The international initiative was launched at the first Clean Energy Ministerial in 2010 with the goal of advancing women in clean energy.Current partner governments include: • Australia • Japan • Mexico • Norway • South Africa • United Arab Emirates • United Kingdom • United States South African Energy Minister Dipuo Peters with US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz at the 2012 C3E Symposium

  3. What is C3E? Continued • U.S. C3E program has four pillars: • C3E Ambassadors – Role models and spokespeople • C3E Awards – Recognizing mid-career rising stars • C3E annual Symposium – Face-to-Face Networking & more • C3ENet.org – Social Network for Women in Clean Energy

  4. Why did I get involved with C3E? • Share your professional background • I’ve been working in clean energy for five years… • Share your C3E story • I attended the Symposium, and was inspired! • I’m an award winner • I wanted a way to meet other likeminded women in the clean energy space

  5. Can I become involved in C3E? Attend a local C3E Meet up – (you can check this off your list!) Join C3Enet.org – A social networking site that provides a forum for women to build a global network and share information, inspiration, and opportunities.
