Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) (EMT-1) • Education Required • Usually minimum 110 hours approved EMT program with 10 hours of internship in emergency room. • State certification • Registration by National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) required in some states • Other states identify as EMT-1 and administer their own certification exams. • Job Outlook to Year 2012 • Above average growth • Average Yearly Earnings • $19,200-$35,700
