2. Types of Elephants There are two main types of elephants. They are the Asian and the African. There are four subspecies of Asian and two of the African. The Asian are the Sri Lankan(the largest), the Sumatran(the smallest), the Indian, and the Borneo Pygmy. The African subspecies are the Savannah and the Forest Elephants.

3. Habits • Elephants are cleaner than you think • Elephants have different trumpets for different moods • All elephants will care for each other and others’ young • Elephants run but not often at 15miles per hour

4. Elephants are very clean animals • They bathe regularly • They also like to swim • They take mud bathes to cool off

5. Elephants have lots of fun! • Elephants have lots of fun • They love to play with each other

6. Dangers • Elephants’ main danger is humans • In 2005, humans killed about 23,000 elephants for their ivory alone

7. Fun Facts!!!!!!! • Elephants are the largest land animal on Earth • Elephants eat up to 330lbs of food per day • Elephants are a highly endangered species • There are only 45,000 Asian elephants left • There are 300,000 African Elephants left • They drink 50 gallons of water in a day • They can get up to 12ft tall and 21ft long
