What Is Lailat Al-Qadr? • The night in which the Qur’an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) by Allah. • The Qur'an says that this night is better than a thousand months. • On this night the angels descend to earth. • Lailat al Qadr is a good time to ask for forgiveness from Allah. • The exact date of the revelation is unknown.

What Is Lailat Al-Qadr?…continued • In the Qur'an it is said about this Night: We have indeed revealed this (Qur'an) in the Night of Power. And what will make thee understand what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.  Therein descend the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) by God's permission, on every errand.  Peace - until the day breaks" (Qur'an 97:1-5)

  4. What do Muslims do on Lailat Al-Qadr? • Muslims spend the night in Ibadah (worship) • Ask forgiveness of their sins • Recite the Quran. • Many other different types of Dua’s.

  5. Why Is Lailat Al-Qadr so Important to the Muslims? • They want the approval of Allah. • They ask for happiness in their lives and in the hereafter. • They want to be saved from the fire of hell. • It is a time for them to ask for repentance. • Etc.
