  1. Welcome to Chapel Hill Middle School!

  2. Ms. French • 6th grade English • Graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler. • Certified 4th-8th English, reading, social studies. • Certified early childhood – 6th grade general education.

  3. Required Supplies • 1 – 3 subject spiral notebook • 1 – pocket folder with brads

  4. Homework Your child has spelling homework DUE EVERY FRIDAY. They should complete 3 choices from their spelling bingo board.

  5. So far, we have… • Worked to perfect our classroom procedures and get to know each other as learners. • Started our Writer’s Notebooks. • Started reviewing and building upon the parts of speech. • Reviewed the writing process. • Begun prewriting for our first personal narrative.

  6. Tutorials - Every Tuesday morning from 7:30-7:53. - Every Wednesday from 3:20 to 4:00. Students must have a ride at 4:00. *Please do not come to tutorials just because you have nothing else to do. Tutorials are for kids who need extra help!

  7. Class Dojo • A wonderful (and fun!) way for you to keep up with your child’s behavior and effort in class. • Ask your student, see my website, or email me for more info!

  10. Donations There are many supplies that we use all year long. We constantly need more! Any donations would be greatly appreciated! • Elmer’s glue • Colored pencils • Notebook paper • Kleenex!!!

  11. Conferences You may request a conference with your child’s team of teachers on the sign in sheet in the hall. You may also email any of his or her teachersthroughout the year.
