Wake p.161 • Why does Junior call Ted a thief? • What does Ted represent to Junior? • The benevolent attitude that some whites hold toward Native-American is seen as patronizing. • What is ironic about the kind of “art” that Ted collects? (163) • Ted needs an anthropologist to determine the origin of the dress. It is as though the Native-Americans are not real people, but some exotic speices to be studied. • Even the title is ironic (wake-up)
