Future ECF’s • 2008 AM ECF – Tomorrow! • 2008 IMECE ECF • Anita to be moderator, Elizabeth to be lead coordinator • Topics have been narrowed down, how the similar topics at the AM ECF work will be looked at for the planning of the IMECE ECF • Managing your Workload • How to be a Young Technical Expert • Project Management • 2009 EGTI Turbo Expo • The data from the 2008 Expo will be analyzed to determine who the target audience is, what portion of the attendees are Early Career Engineers • Santa Clara Section/District D Conference • This event is still in the planning stages

  4. Future ECF’s • Venezuela ECF • Old Guard Grant proposal submitted and will be reviewed at the Annual Meeting • Projecting 300 attendees • Topic: Alternative Energy & Sustainable Development • Scheduled around mid-November

  5. ECF Team Activities • Review of Venezuela ECF OG Grant Proposal • A promotional letter to send to ASME units to encourage ECF’s has been written • A form for ASME units to request assistance in planning ECFs has been written • The ECF Best Practices Manual and the YEF “how-to” manual to be combined and re-written, part fixed ideas/principles for planning an ECF and an ever-changing section with best practices

  6. Future ECF Team Activities • Procedures for reviewing OG Grant Proposals to be standardized • ECF Marketing Plan to be completed and carried out, to include items such as: • Adding items to the assistance request form • Creating a speaker pool that could be used when planning ECFS • Training for ASME units for ECFs
