  3. Cost of Annual Membership: Multiple Operators - £450 Night Time Economy - £350 Independents - £250 Additional Radio - £160

Included in membership fees, each member receives: Two way walkie-talkie radio, connecting to CCTV Control, Police and other members Information on current Crime Trends Information on current active offenders Photographs of known offenders Exclusion Scheme Newsletter Monthly members meetings Daily Street Briefings for daytime with plans to carry this to the night time economy

  5. G SAFE and the Night Time Economy NTE exclusions – proportionate and necessary, stopping people having access to what they are doing wrong. Some licensed premises have a condition on their licence to be a member Licensing returns from Medway to flag up NTE incidents which can then be investigated and may lead to an exclusion/warning letter

G SAFE Pod Awarded <£20k to purchase a Peugeot Boxer Converted van for outreach in the NTE delivering: • Engagement with community • Better Communication from licensed premises including door teams – incident reporting • Alcohol Awareness events including breathalysing • Partnership working with Street Pastors • Available for hire for community events

  7. Safer Socialising Award Awarded to individual premises; Valid for two years and may be withdrawn if there are substantial infringements of the requirements Inspections by: Kent Police GBC Licensing KFRS Trading Standards G SAFE

  8. Benefits: Improving standards of management, community safety and crime reduction. Encourages co-operation between licensees, BCRPs and other agencies. Provides a framework and helps licensees to take positive action in dealing with problems and offers increased reassurance to staff and public. Encourages higher standards of incident reporting. Provides ready performance and management information through incident reporting to the partnership.

Benefits cont… Fosters trust between the business community and statutory agencies and leads to improved levels of co-operation and engagement in respect of intelligence gathering and information sharing. Pro-active and sustained management of the scheme places few additional burdens on statutory agencies with the scheme designed to be self-funding and partnership managed. By providing a good practice ‘health-check’ for licensees it provides benefit for licensed businesses and for those who live in, work in and visit the area covered by the partnership by reassuring them that local licensed premises are safe and well run places to visit.

The Role of the Member To achieve the Safer Socialising Award licensed premises must: be members of the partnership agree to be inspected and to comply with the conditions of the award make any improvements required by the inspection maintain the standards agreed at the time of the award notify the partnership of any departures from those standards support the work of the partnership to reduce crime, disorder and alcohol-related anti-social behaviour and create a safe and secure business environment for the day and evening economies.
