Some comments from volunteers on their experience: I find it very satisfying to feel that my efforts will be of use and valued by family historians and future generations long after I'm gone You gain good research and analytical skills It broadens knowledge and helps others. It is also interesting to find out more about events in the past. I've appreciated being part of something worthwhile, I've found the transcribing much more interesting than I anticipated and I really enjoy being able to do as much or little as I can manage online when I choose. It's been a thoroughly enjoyable and positive experience. I feel I'm doing something worthwhile, I'm privileged to work behind the scenes at TNA, and the friendliness, patience and support of the TNA staff has been exemplary.
