  1. 2014 IL ROSSO E IL BLU THE RED AND THE BLUE Set against the background of a Roman school,  the stories of an art history professor who has lost his passion for the job, a young substitute who is doing his best and trying to “save” a very eccentric and rebel student, and a stern and irreproachable head mistress who is forced to deal with a strange student who has been forgotten by his mother.  Based on a book of the same name by real-life teacher Marco Lodoli, The Red and the Blue is a comedy about life in a modern day high school. He was discovered after a brief appearance inLa meglio gioventù and has become a box-office star. Films include Mio figlio è figlio unico, Mine vaganti and Romanzo criminale. . Giuseppe Piccioni was born in Ascoli Piceno in 1953. He won the David Donatello award for Best Screenplay for Fuori del mondo, and the Venice Film Festival’s Trasatti award for Luce dei miei occhi. He is one of the founders of the Library of Cinema in Rome. Roberto Herlitzka,born in 1937 in Turin, began his acting career in the theatre. Since 1973, he has appeared in 38 films and won the David Donatello, Nastro d’Argento and Venice’s Pasinetti awards for his role as Aldo Moro in Marco Bellocchio’s filmBuongiorno, notte. Margherita Buy was born in 1962 in Rome. She acted in theatre before her first film role in 1986 in La seconda notte. She has won numerous awards, including the David Donatello award for Best Actress in Fuori dal mondo, La stazione, Giorni e nuvole, and Il caimano.
