  2. What is math lab? • Math lab is a free tutoring service for all math courses. • No appointment is necessary. • Math lab is available to all students. • All LCCC campuses have convenient math lab hours.

  3. Can I benefit from math lab? • Sure! • Math lab is meant for the following: • Students having difficulty • Students looking to improve their understanding of particular concepts • Any students wanting to improve their grade

  4. What do math tutors do? • Math tutors can help students: • Understand concepts • Review specific class work and homework • Learn skills and strategies to enhance their chances of success • Reduce math fears • Become independent learners

  5. What can’t math tutors do? • Math tutors cannot do the homework for a student. • Math tutors cannot help with graded assignments or take home tests.

  6. Who are these math tutors? • All tutors are competent in math processes and effective tutoring techniques. • Many tutors are professionals with experience in teaching or engineering. • Peer tutors are students with exceptional math abilities. • All tutors are friendly and eager to help students.

  7. Are workshops offered? • Yes! • Workshops are offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. • The workshops cover topics which are commonly challenging to students. • Workshop topics, dates, and times are posted on various bulletin boards and in the math lab. • Ask your instructor or visit the math lab for details on the next workshop.

  8. What if I just need help studying for finals? • No problem! • Math review sessions are held at the end of Fall and Spring semesters to help students prepare for final exams. • Watch the bulletin boards or visit the math lab for dates and times.

  9. Where is math lab located? • Math lab is located in Educational Support Services. • At Main campus it is in room SH-150. • It is located in the library at Donley. • Check with the front desk receptionists for lab locations at the Morgan and Carbon campus sites.
