  2. Allegory An extended metaphor in which objects, persons, and actions are typically associated with morals or ideas such as greed or envy. Common examples include: A Christmas Carol, Animal Farm, and Lord of the Flies. Literature

  3. Genre Literature A category used to classify literary works, usually by form, technique, or content. Example: Fantasy, Horror, Poetry

  4. Point of View Literature The vantage point in which the author tells the story. Ex: 1st person, 3rd person limited and 3rd person omission.
