  4. What was the significance of this battle? • This battle was the major turning point in the Civil War.

  5. HOWWAS THE BATTLE FOUGHT? They used guns, cannons, and swords.

  6. Whendidthebattletakeplace? • July 1 – 3 , 1863

  7. Who were the important men? • Union: General George Meade • Confederate: General Robert E. Lee

  8. Who were the important women? There were no important women on the Union or Confederate side of the war. However, there was a women named Jennie Wade, who was killed baking biscuits when a bullet came through her kitchen window. Good but deadly!!!!!
