    Deadlines matter! Grades matter! Until you walk across the stage, you are NOT finished!
  3. Checklist for February Continue to complete and monitor applications for colleges and scholarships. You should receive your SAR within 4 weeks after completing your FAFSA; carefully check your SAR for inaccuracies. If you haven’t completed your FAFSA application, you need to do it ASAP! Respond quickly to financial aid office requests or college application requests. Sign up for AP exams, if applicable
  4. Checklist for March & April Review your college acceptances and financial aid awards. Consider your financial aid packages in your college decision making process. If you are positive you will not enroll at a school that has accepted you, please notify the school of your plans. Send in your deposit as required to the college of your choice, complete housing forms, and schedule freshman orientation. Complete the local scholarship application (available through the counseling office around mid- March). Search online for scholarship opportunities and check directly with your college(s) financial aid department. Take AP exams, if applicable
  5. Checklist for May Decide on one college you will attend. Inform the other colleges that accepted you that you have selected another college. Request a final transcript be sent to that college or university you will be attending through the registrar. Look for information from the college you will attend and immediately respond to all requests from that college. Prepare for final exams.
  6. Checklist for June, July and August: Attend new student orientation and register for classes. Notify the college of any private scholarships or grants you will be receiving. Know when the payment for tuition, room and board, meal plans, etc., are due. If necessary, ask the Business Office about a possible payment plan that will allow for installments.
