  4. What do we know about Bucharest? • The population of Bucharest is around 2.2m with the majority being concentrated in the city area. • The number of cars increased from 409.947 in 1992 to 1.014.120 in 2006. • Modal share: public transport - 50%

COMMERCE stakeholders in Bucharest • Regia Autonoma de Transport Bucuresti (RATB) - The main public transport operator in Bucharest, it is responsible for the operation of buses, trams, and trolley buses. • Camera de Comert si Industrie a Municipiului Bucuresti (CCIB) - Founded in 1868, CCIB is a NGO which promotes trade and industry in Bucharest, Romania.
