  3. Schools 2012 Conferences 2010 & 2011 Conferences at the Rose Bowl to promote school engagement with the Olympics/Paralympics June 2011 in partnership with Solent University – Paralympic conference for special schools & children with a disability

Competitions - Projects The English Project –Aimed at Years 11,12,13 Best sports commentator/journalist/photographer/illustrator/blogger etc Impact – how can secondary schools impact their local communities 18 secondary schools have projects Arts exhibition – The Great Hall Composers project & Hampshire Welcomes the World INTECH – 21st March- sports science exhibition – open to schools June 16th 2012 The Hampshire Schools Games

  5. ‘Be Inspired for Life’The Anton School Project ‘Be inspired for life’ - Cross curricular project – Olympics/PSHE/Citizenship/Olympic Values etc – A copy available free to all schools Anton School – 10 Day programme using stories about Olympians written by primary school teachers for primary school teachers

  6. H.T.A.S. School Visits We get requests all the time for Olympians to visit schools etc Planning to work with Hampshire Talented Athletes on their ability to speak in public We would like them to be able to visit schools to do presentations about themselves as part of their personal development Athletes profiles as part of a reading project

  7. Olympic ‘Look & Feel’ Opportunities for schools to buy the same Olympic branding/dressing that the venues will use Orders placed by 16th December – to be put up by 19th May Flags, banners, feather flags and lighting All schools have been offered access to the Look Book

The Olympic Torch Relay Starts 19th May at Lands End In Hampshire on 11th, 14th,15th,16th July More Torch than any other county Hampshire Torch bearers selected 3rd/4th October – notified beginning December Overnight stops 14th Southampton & 15th Portsmouth 9 Hampshire towns on the route of the Torch announced on 7th November
