  2. Contact Facebook Customer Service Facebook provides us an option to decide that what to do with our account after we Die. It offers us two choices to memorialize the account or delete it. So today we will discuss the procedure to enable these setting options on our Facebook account. This option gives you any opportunity to stay alive within the memories and heart of your friends even if you have died. First, we will learn to setup the account as Memorialize with steps to add the Legacy Contact then we will discuss the steps to Delete the account after you pass out.

  3. If you select the option to memorialize your account, then your family or friends could be able to collectively share memories, and thoughts with you on that account. Memorialized account has following features:

Facebook Tech Support • The account name of the memorialized account followed by the word “Remembering” will be displayed in their Profile. • Friends allowed within the privacy settings will be able to post memories on the timeline of your memorialized account. • All the earlier posts remain the same and can be viewed by the allowed audience. • Memorialized accounts are not shown in public places like suggestions list for people you may know.

  5. There will be no birthday reminders for memorialized accounts. • No one can have access to login to memorialized account. • Memorialized accounts with no legacy contact cannot be modified.

You can also get Facebook Customer Support if you find any problem while performing these steps or any other issue related to Facebook. • If you opted to Memorialize your account, then it's good to set a legacy Contact as it will allow that user to handle the events on your Memorialized account. For example, the person set as legacy content can post a message on behalf of you that you might wish to share after you die.

So, to set a legacy Contact go through the following steps: • Open the settings menu of your Facebook account. • Select the option to “Manage Account.” • Enter or choose the name of the friend whom you want to set as your Legacy contact and then click on to “Add.” • Now click on “Send” to let the friend know that you have selected him/her as your Legacy Contact.

Facebook Help Contact You can also set the Legacy Contact as the person who is not included in your friend list, but in that case, you won’t be able to click on “Send” to let him/her know that you have set them as a Legacy Contact.
