  4. There was a young princess called Maud, Who was lovely and quick with her sword Not only her beauty, But princess-ly duty, Was by her people adored

  5. While her father fought tigers and snakes, Matilda baked wonderful cakes Eclairs and gateaux She cried ‘Oscar No!”, When he tried of her goodies to take

  6. Princess Matilda had a pet pony called Sammi she would give it apples to eat, and sometimes a sugar cube

  7. One day princess Matilda was riding through the forest. She saw that a big man-eating spider was trying to eat Oscar. She pulled out her sword and made the spider go away

  8. Queen Kris Matilda’s mummy was brave and strong, because her Great, great, grandmother was a Viking.

  9. King Richard Matildas daddy was very brave. When he wasn’t fighting tigers and snakes, He would play with Matilda

  10. Around the caste was a moat (a moat is a special stream around the castle)

  11. Sometimes Matilda would fish in the moat and sometimes she would swim in it

  12. You might think that swimming in the moat was nothing special, but it was full of crocodiles!

  13. Luckily, the crocodiles were Matilda’s friends and she would feed them their favorite food (spaghetti).
