  2. Decimals • Are the things that you line up. • For Example- you have $5.97 • That’s a decimal number. If you are adding money, line them up.

  3. Proportion • A proportion is something you compare in a fraction or number. This can be used in many different ways. • Example-

  4. Integers • The absolute value that has distance from zero. • Example- (-7) + (-5) = (-12)

  5. Pythagorean Theorem • The theorem that the square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.

  6. Two Step Equations • A type of equation that solves for a letter. • An expression or a proposition, often algebraic asserting the equality of two quantities.

  7. Scientific Notation • A method for expressing a given quantity as a number having significant digits necessary for a specified degree of accuracy, multiplied by 10 to the appropriate power.

  8. Percents % • Percent of 100  • Also called per centum.

  9. Box and Whisker • A graph that displays the highest and lowest quarters. As whiskers the middle two of the data as the box and the median. Cute bunny Whiskers 

  10. Stem and Leaf Plot • Shows data arranged by place value.

  11. Line Plots • Using a number line using X’s

  12. Square Roots • A quantity of which a given quantity is the square. • The square root of 69 is 8 something.

  13. Ratios • The relation between two similar magnitudes with respect to the number of ties the contains the second. • Example- 3 to 4 or 3:4

  14. Scale Factor • When a shape is being increased or decreased in size, each side is being multiplied by a scale factor If scale factor is greater than 1, the shape gets bigger.

  15. Perimeter • Add all the sides
