Portfolio Template Instructions: As a reminder, you are required to show 10 examples of your work, and you may ONLY show 10 examples of your work. You may use one (1) slide for each example/piece of work, although multiple views of that same work can be shown to better convey the piece. Choose the slide template which is best suited for each piece you want to include in your portfolio. The choice should be based on the size and shape of the piece and the number of views needed to best show it. Copy and paste individual slide templates as needed. Your portfolios may use one or many different slide templates within the portfolio, the choice should be based on the individual collection of work to be shown. Delete any unused page templates when the Portfolio is complete. The Portfolio should contain exactly 11 slides, the first with your name and desired focus, and the rest each showing one piece of creative work. For best results, select the desired window to place an image and use the insert picture function in PowerPoint. For best control of the image size and shape, crop images to the desired size/shape before inserting. Otherwise, right click on the image inside the template and adjust the cropping within the PowerPoint presentation.
7. Using Adobe Photoshop, prepare your images using the CROP tool with the Crop settings fixed at the specific width and height of the template you chose and a resolution of 150 pixels/in. (See the example on each slide.) 8. Once you have prepared the CROP tool settings, drag a rectangular area within/ around your image to prepare it to be place in your portfolio PowerPoint. When the cropped area is exactly as you want it, click on the check mark in the bar at the top of the screen. 9. Save the image as a .jpg file with a Graphic quality of 10 so that it can be easily inserted within the specific slide template. Once the file has been prepared, click on the ‘insert picture from file’ icon found in the center of each image box so that the image you just saved can be inserted. 11. Continue this process for all images for the 10 (ten) items/examples of your work that you choose to include in your portfolio. 12. When finished, delete the first 2 slides that contain instructions and save the The file with your last name first initial Portfolio (SmithJ Portfolio).
