Be an energy source • Enthusiasm is contagious. When we radiate enthusiasm, the entire room lights up • Be engaging, be memorable. • Doesn’t mean you need to be the life of the party but you need to be engaging and be memorable • Master the ask of conversation.
Ditch your bags Not always easy to be an energy source, life happens Be mindful of the baggage you carry around and share.
Be Still Are you pen clicking, foot tapping, paper flipping, seat jiggling. DON’T It is annoying and makes you appear anxious, nervous
Be Prepared • How do you want to turn up? • How do you want to be perceived? • Consider what role you will play? • What does that mean for you? • Give yourself permission to try something new. • If you are normally the first to speak, let others go first. If you are introverted, try finding the courage to speak up first.
Ask • A good question is far more valuable than a good answer: • How did you experience me today? • What should I stop doing?
