Case Study: Stop Disasters Game • Website: http://www.stopdisastersgame.org/ • Developer/Provider: Playerthree, United Nations (UN), International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) • Description: It is a disaster simulation game, which enables players to experience five natural hazards: earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis and wildfires. It aims to make the players aware of the risks and what preventive actions can be taken to tackle each one of the disasters in order to reduce the destruction caused by them. • Accessibility: Free online play in English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and French. • Target audience: Primarily secondary education, but is equally valuable to all ages.
