Description • This act established procedures for registering pesticides with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and established labeling provisions • Provides the EPA the authority to oversee the sale and use of pesticides • Primarily aimed at protecting consumers from ineffective products or deceptive labeling

  3. Environmental Issues Affected • Too much pesticides were being used on products which could cause harm to consumers and products
