  2. Results: R1 Push back R1 Batter Batter swings and misses; runner leaves early. If catcher throws the runner out; out stands. Otherwise, push the runner back to first base.

  3. Results: R1 R2 Push back R1 R2 Batter Batter swings and misses; with EITHER runner leaving early. Push back If out occurs, out stands, remaining runner must return to their original base. If no out occurs, ALL runners must return to their original bag.

  4. Results: R1 R2 R1 BR Batter Batter hits the ball; with EITHER runner leaving early. R1 scores. Push back 7.13 example 10 pg 83 Runners are pushed back to an empty base. Pushing R1 back to third.

  5. R1 Results: R1 Push back BR BR Batter hits the ball; runner leaves early; batter makes it to first. Runner must return to second base.

  6. R1 Results: BR R1 BR Ball hit to outfield; runner on second leaves early; batter runner makes it to second with runner scoring. Push back Since batter-runner made it to second; push runner back to third base – the only open base.

  7. R2 Results: R1 BR R2 BR Runner on second leaves early; with both runners scoring; batter makes it to second base. Push back Since there is only one base open; you can only bring back the runner that was on second to third base.

  8. R2 Results: R1 R3 R3 R2 BR BR Ball hit to out field; Runner on second leaves early; with runner on third scoring; batter makes it to first base. Nothing can be done. R1 scores. All runners remain on their base.

  9. R2 Results: R1 R3 R3 Push back R2 BR BR Ball hit to out field; Runner on second leaves early; with runners on second and third scoring; batter makes it to first base. Push back Since second base is open; push R2 to third; R3 to second.

  10. R2 Results: R1 R3 R3 R2 BR BR Ball hit to infield; Runner on second leaves early; with runner on third scoring; batter makes it to first base. 7.13(c) This is called the invisible runner; runner that was on third is pulled off with no run scoring.
