  2. Introduction The person I chose is well-known by almost everyone. This person is a superstar who has stories of successes, failures, and tragedies. This person lived a lifestyle very different from most people. I believe this person changed the world in many ways.

  3. Facts • Male • Born on August 29, 1958 • American Superstar • Well-known pop star • Born in Gary, Indiana • His middle name was Joseph • Diagnosed with Lupus in 1986 • 7th of 9 children • Began his musical career at the age of 5

  4. Extra Clues • Often wore a white glove • Defined a new fashion style for many • Had MANY signature dance moves • Had three children • Was married to a VERY famous rock star's daughter • Had many plastic surgeries • Passed away on June 25, 2009

Timeline • August 29,1958-Born • 1968-Signed to Motown Records in a band that included 5 people • 1970-Hit top of the charts • 1971-Began solo career • 1978-Album “Off the Wall” was released • 1994-Marries first wife(Divorce less than two years later) • 2001-Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame • June 25,2009-Death

How did he change the world? • Defined a new style of music • Inspired people to change their own lives • Reshaped pop culture • Made many statements and actions about racial discrimination • Changed people’s view on racial differences and discrimination • Gave many people new experiences through music

  7. Guess Who! • The person I chose was Michael Jackson. I chose MJ because I believe he proved to many that being a different race LITERALLY does not make you a different person. He showed people that everyone deserves to be equal and that they can be the same person, even if they are not a specific race.
