How to help your child become successful at SDMS cont. • Check the agenda book • Each class should be filled out with an assignment or “none” • Encourage your child to use check the orange team homework page (http://orangesdms.wikispaces.com) • Take advantage of teacher extra help hours • Each teacher stays after school 2 days a week or before school • Check the Science website • Weekly updates of upcoming tests and projects

How to help your child become successful at SDMS • Help your child stay organized • 3 ring binder – separate section for each class • Handouts should be organized by class each day • Students should do at least 1 ½ hours of homework each night • Quiet space that can monitored by an adult • ½ hour of reading • If there is no assigned homework, students should be reviewing notes, making flashcards, organizing binder, or redoing math problems
