  3. Concrete & Abstract Nouns • Concrete Noun: Can be experienced by the five senses • Pillow, dog, candy • Abstract Noun: Can not be experienced by the five senses, usually idea nouns • Trust, hope, sadness

  4. Singular & Plural Nouns • Singular Noun: One person, place, thing or idea • Guitar, flower, cloud • Abstract Noun: Multiple people, places, things or ideas • Pillows, dogs, deer

  5. Common & Proper Nouns • Common Noun: Names general items • Gas station, Television, Monkey • Proper noun: Names a specific item. • Ellie, Mrs. Johnson, McDonald’s
