  2. CPED as Professional “Learning” Processes for Convenings • Bring a team, if possible; including an EdD candidate • Divide up & come together; discuss strategies to bring back the most information • Be open, bring your sense of humor & love of adventure • Network, network, network!

Processes, continued • Participate in table group discussions • Shared your real experiences & help to develop solutions • Follow up with speakers & remarks in discussions • Listen to EdD candidates remarks & attend poster sessions • Take in campuses and compare their contexts and work to your own • Use CPED to renew

  4. Processes, continued • Serve on CPED committees in order to bring more ideas to your institution • Mentor • Dissertation in Practice Committee • Participate in CPED research efforts • Participate in EdD writing efforts with your own colleagues and across CPED

  5. Processes, continued • Make good use of the CPED website • Participate in CPED technology events – webinars, committee Skype sessions • Offer to present at CPED Convenings as a way to get feedback • Be sure to speed date! (tryout new CPED PD processes)

What have I learned in terms of content through CPED • Inquiry stance in research courses for the EdD • How to think about Thematic Dissertation Grps • Formats for Dissertations in Practice • Improving EdDCandidate writing • Equity & Social Justice Foci within the EdD • Bring about change in IHEs and other learning organizations • Tightening coursework to create a 3-year program
